Description

This is an introductory class for average to advanced players who would like some experience with finger style guitar. You should know some basic chord positions, have some strength in your left or fretting hand, and a decent sense of rhythm. Alternating thumb bass lines and rhythm/lead picking with 1,2 and 3 fingers will be covered. We will start with the thumb and add in some slides, hammer-ons, pull-offs. Some experience with those techniques will be helpful but not necessary. We wont be doing any strumming, cutting, or sweeping. If you like Gillian Welch, Mississippi John Hurt, or any delta blues finger style artists, this is a good way to either get a start or to delve deeper.

Nice description, thanks. It might be the file size of the image- try uploading a smaller one.

Good advice BP. Added a bit more. Not sure why the pic isn't showing. I'll check back tomorrow.
