Ambassadors

We're reaching out to individuals across the country to spread free learning to their hometowns. As a CommuniTeach Ambassador, you will work with neighbors, community organizations, local businesses, and friends to create your very own sustainable, free-learning community. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with priority consideration given before July 24, 2011. This is a volunteer position.

Ambassadors from Boston, Denver and Washington, DC, are especially encouraged to apply, but exceptional candidates from other cities will be considered as well.

Duties & Responsibilities
As a CommuniTeach Ambassador, you will gain valuable community organizing, marketing, and social enterprise experience. Depending on your interests and skills, you could take on one or many fun tasks:

• Helping teachers and organizations set up fun, free classes
• Researching public spaces and community organizations in your city
• Marketing and advertising to publicize free classes
• Creating press releases and managing social media communication (Twitter, blogging, etc.)

Qualifications
We're looking for individuals with diverse skill sets and backgrounds. The must-haves are: a passion for learning, creativity, 3-month minimum time commitment (10-15 hrs/week), and the ability to work independently.
